Also, after modeling and designing the CFT Structure in BIM, we start modeling the Boiler room which helps the client have the best placement of the facilities and accurate details.
Residential BIM Project challenges
this project has limits for the boiler room space and the optimization of the area to have the best placement was very important. also, there is a need to model each of the facilities of the boiler room family by parameters after mechanical design.
the cft structure in bim is also modeled column and beams families with a connection to get accurate documentation and have an estimation of the steel used in the residential bim project.
A bill of materials (bom ) is a list of the parts or components that are required to build a product. The BoM provides the manufacturer’s part number (MPN) and the quantity needed for each component. Revit is a powerful BIM software that can aid the BOQ development process. It is quite easy to get hold of an accurate, detailed, and integrated BOQ from Revit itself. Once your model is complete, you just have to use the in-built features.
in this project, after modeling the boiler room we estimate the length of piping in boiler room with Revit.
